Its not really a secret that this voting options are totally outdated...

On the other hand, I agree that everyone should get something to build up and compete. Having something to collect would be an option as well.
So instead of voting a kind of mini game where you can collect items which will give you resources/tokens or even something inside your management screen where you can see the structures you built and you have to click on them and..and...and

There are many possibilities right now and for sure we'll do something sooner or later. We have to move on.
If the voting isn't good, if the toolbar isn't accessible for everyone (for example on tablets) - we will just build anything else and find a better solution!

So even when we have to remove something, we won't give up on the general idea. Its just a question of time

if you do the mini game thing make sure you remember that fantasy can't participate atm (yes I'll never let it go :p)

BUT I would advise against a Farmville type addition to the game.. little kids don't really play battle dawn.. etc..

i would say increase the number of blue from ufo, that will make people be active more. Make ufo appear a little more often.
