right now i just can't compete at level 30 anymore, right now all i have are heat weapons and an energy shield and that worked very well for a long time. but now i'm seeing a trend with only 1 teleport and 1 hook and both of them costing an insane ton of energy i find myself stuck a lot especially at range 2 since it seems the only weapons that work at range 2 are either legendary weapons and low level weapons. also what use to be the key of my build is next to useless now. i equipped 2 big bright blasters and when they did 65 heat damage now they only do 40 and with people having a heat capacity of way over a hundred that really is nothing. on top of that with energy shields being so weak taking 1 damage for 2 energy it gets depleted so easily but with the high costs on everything for energy across the board i can't switch to an energy build with a heat shield nothing works anymore and these updates have put me at a complete loss. so as of now until my build gets un nerfed because of every update making it weaker and everything else stronger i am done with level 30 and will only be found at lvl 15 with my 2nd account where i can use that to collect a bunch of good legendary weapons without having to keep grinding my way through losses.

This tip was actually shared with me from others.

the heat build with energy shield is what i tried doing, but all it took was 1 hit from an energy shield when i had a capacity of 180 energy and 90 regeneration to completely deplete my shield. and the shield i used was a 7 for 4 at 25% which was the most cost effective i could find but for now im just using a high hp energy build that and physical is all that seems to work

I wouldn't doubt lil conquers experience in the game. Back on the previous updates, I enjoyed battling him quite a lot. He knew what he was doing.

As for all the guys using a low level shield, it's useless. Any smart player would do the maths and understand it's worhtless. Say at level 16, deploying a shield wastes a turn (a shield at level 16), that only saves 5 damage a turn. One of my weapons does 50 damage. For the shield to be worth while, you'd need 10 turns after your shield is deployed (with some variability due to kits). You might as well skip using the shield and just go for damage if possible. Low level shields only work if your enemy goes for the bluff.

It was OP in the past, more op in the first months of the new patch, and now high lv shields make you overheat or energy drained in just 1 turn...
