After we have control over Africa/Europe we'll have NA/SA/Africa/Europe. The power/income difference will be too much to overcome even if we have to fight the only other good alliance on this map (WLI). We are almost double everyone's power/score already =/

Nothing is too great to overcome when your allies become inactive. I almost prefer close eras until the very end because it keeps your members active. If your lead is as great as you say it is, double their power, then it is quite easy for your members to become lax and actually end up losing units/territory.

Very true, but as long as simmen doesn't take his sweet time releasing relics or extend the round unnecessarily, then I dont really see that happening. It's always fun trying to get 10 relics when you haven't already made arrangements with other alliances about what happens when each other gets them. Hasn't been a round recently where one alliance makes a mad dash at all relics, regardless of who's doing what.

As you can tell, we don't work with any other teams so we are already challenging ourselves in that way. I'm sure we can find other ways to entertain ourselves if the round drags out, but I agree it's always a risk when the rounds get boring.

Still a possibility for competition, tell your friends E1 is up for grabs. Wouldnt be the first time a team started late on E1 and won. Hasnt happened in a long time I think though.
