You're right... being disowned by your family, murdering your best friend and your sister in the prime of their lives and also getting killed at a young age. Living for money only for it do destroy everyone you care about and then yourself before you had any time to make amends for all the people you've wronged or enjoy any of the empire you had just created.

The story is about the american dream actually. coming here and becoming rich and wealthy when you started out with nothing. and that it isnt easy staying on the top.

I do appreciate the movie, have you seen the 1930s original? I've seen both.

It's about a life you're supposed to be in awe of, not one you should emulate. The original movie came with a disclaimer calling out the behavior of the gangsters in the film as a plight on the nation and asked the audience what they would do about such heinous material. It was literally originally a social critique of gangsters, purposely vulgar and showing the bad side of crime, not glamorizing it.

The topic of me getting called out between you and I have run it's course, I laid it on as thick as I could and you clearly didn't mind being mocked.
