This is a place holder as general rules are being developed. I ask everyone here to be constructive as they are made. Please offer any support and be open to any ideas offered. We want to give the best to the community and to solo world.


- Main rules
- No Sub farming (this is includes Family, and people you declare via email, broadcast.)
- No Friendly Fire - (This means you are conquered by your Allies while attacking your allies enemies)
- No Using Allies, Friends, etc for Last minute score increasing at end of era (This rule applies to people trying to get free handouts by people with the last minute of the game about to end This rule needs to be evolved with player discussion, as its been a hot topic and people have argued about it.)
- New Rule set Long reach places are to be unusable in future rounds - This includes New Zealand and islands around, Hawaii, and a few other places around the map.
- Relic rule set - To go with Long reach places Unreachable zones areas are deemed off limits for Relics. If found to have a relic in a unreachable zone you will be asked first time to move it back within 24 ticks to the coast line of the area. Failing to do so will result in a admin direct moving the relic to the nearest coast line in the area its at. (please give any info on this one )
- [color=#FF0000] New Rule set crystals and Relics
- Crystals and relics are spoils of war that each individual has the right to decide how they wish to use them. (crystals and relics can not be used for Mercenary work, or bought for real money of course and this rule will evolve as we see who is might be abused Please read sub rule to this main)

- Sub Rule - Taking crystals and relics might not be farming but conquering allies and maintaining them to keep them invisible will be. As of Tick 2000 (might adjust Is a stopping point for Top rule applied to anyone. Last 500 ticks are important and score can change to fast last few ticks. That being said Your allies are locked in at that point. Anyone caught freely handing over relics, Crystals that are your allies, Subs, Family, will receive penalties for breaking the rules for trying to do a last minute score change. First warning if found to breaking this rule. Crystals will be stripped or returned to original owner regardless what situation he might be in. Relics will be deleted and re released for anyone to grab. Minimal units to protect them and no crystals. If found to continue to break this rule will be banned until after havoc is set. (I need thoughts on this please)

New rule set added on to era as of 1/16/2016

Rule called letting a ally rob the riches - Pretty obvious rule... In most cases this been a very unfair tactic used on E5 since 1 on 1 solo can be very hard to move across the world to chase compared to 10 on 10 where you can have a much better network to actually go after someone. That being said. i am declaring allowing Allies or subs (which of course no sub farming) on Earth 5 when obvious (imminent threat) is coming to take them away is deemed illegal. What punishment will happen will depend on the situation and there will be no agrument of this punishment. (Punishment may include ally that stole crystals and relocated force relocated to same area of war, crystals returned to people that had them taken so they would not get lost to enemies, or even given to enemies instantly. Remember i have used the words Imminent Threat for a reason, for i still have the rule of spoils of war. But lets not try and see what grey lines we can try and push here. Failure to listen to this over and over will result in lost of rank for this round as well if continued.

Next new rule - Relic placement... Image that will be provided shortly after will clearly show new offline limites of relic placement along with keeping the relics 24 ticks from shorelines which people pushed to the limits... people found they wanted to have these relics on the edges of the map at 24 ticks... so now ... the edges of the map are concidered off limits period... they are to be kept near the shore and not in open waters as you will see with the images at this link the red area is all no fly area from this point -------> http://i66.tinypic.com/348t155.jpg

Honestly, the families are getting to be a bit.... much. Cooperation is one thing, but some of the "solo" tactics I've seen from people over the last few eras has simply been ridiculous. I know it's always hard to confirm those helping one another, but if we could try to curb that ideal via a ruling that's enforced, maybe we can help bring the point of solo back to what it's supposed to be. SOLO.

i 100% agree, there needs to be someway to enforce a rule. like on normal alliance worlds teams can understandably have 2 subs.

Although enforceing anything will be difficult imo

I disagree, stay on three tick, but we need to switch up the rules.

Possible rule change:

1.) There is no need for alliance flags, its solo, we should try taking out alliances all together.

This could at least lesson the amount of people that could team up, but NAPs and Friendlies would still be possible.

2.) Limit the amount of same team tags

Not sure how this would be acted upon..

Coming up with rules to limit team play is almost impossible, I guess its just up to the community..

But serious, if you want to have a solution, make more people play it, oh wait, dead community, getting even more dead, kek.

Offer an incentive to actually fighting by yourself, that seems worthy, you get a kill you put time and effort into, you should get rewards, hmm, could try and link killing someone's army to being allowed to take their xtals, hmm, sounds out of reach.

Surprised a thread was made by an admin about it, since well, admins have shown in the past, they don't really care what happens in their eras, all of them, Kappa. So clap to you Joe.

sure solo is solo..... but i don't think i want to see restrictions being made on families to play as families..... as this game is, at its core, players ganging up against others..... (yes, i am being a bit "pessimistic" in this assessment.... :P).... so solo can never in truth be solo..... nor in other worlds can there be ideal "subless" wins as friendlies can in some way be considered subs by my "pessimistic" assessment..... ;) yes, i promote minimal interference from admins on bd politics......

SUBS, FAMILIES, FRIENDLIES, CRYSTALS, MAKING ADMIN JOB EASY: if you are particularly against how certain families are playing, let's say SERB, i am perfectly fine with banning those family players from playing for a round or two......

but don't (!!!) invite players into a game and then tell you cannot play in some way or the other....... players have to be free to play as per battledawn game dynamics with ABSOLUTELY minimal admin interference on player relationships...... this would mean, as much as possible, no rules, WHATSOEVER, on subs, friendlies..... anything........ am willing to add an "ehem" here as...... this can and should, to a great extent, be extended to crystal rules as well..... yes, i am being extremely/slightly being aggressive here..... admins shouldn't be wasting their time on watching every action of players as when they make mistakes, there's too much pressure on them...... i want admins to be a bit free in their jobs as well.....

yes, i know there are many directions my view can and will be taken on from here...... but i only intended the above to be very general....... and to be absolutely fair to everybody with the admin specifically very much in mind......

ALSO ANOTHER ASIDE: if this game had to be truly fair, we would not only have removed subs, families, friendlies, etc, but we would have even removed boosting...... lol, i am really on fire and really stepping on toes here..... ;D

Your statement here is the opposite of what happens however due to the "family" aspect in solo worlds. 1 or a few players tell's 20, 30, 40 some other players what they should do to help promote the individual on top. When someone who worked very hard in solo get's jammed for weeks on end, there is simply no real counter. You can no longer launch offensive movements and you end up needing someone else to watch for you.

Solo has become a world where the winner is who has more connections willing to plant a colony for them. Then use those connections to jam, scan, and spam for you. Sure, having 20 inactive players on the world seems useless, but even if they all only log in for 1 hour a day, if they happen to log in at different times, you now got 20 of 24 hours covered for someone else to do your bidding. 1 colony with full energy can jam up a LARGE portion of someone's network as well as scan all their ops.

This is the kind of gameplay I find annoying. I don't even play solo, but this type of gameplay is simply cheap. But it's a catch 22. The only way to fight a family is to get one to do the same. Look at SRB this last E5. The competition brought in just as many if not more in order to thwart them at their own game. And MANY very experienced players were taken out in the process of overcoming SRB.

Perhaps decreasing the minimum requirement for deleting colonies on solo worlds should be a thing. Even if you boost, if you don't log in for x amount of ticks, colony gets deleted unless you go into vacation mode. Then, it'd be REAL easy to see who's only staying to do jams, scans and spams as they'll be coming in and out of vacation mode constantly. Admin can check their activities at that point and if they are caught doing this, they are banned from Solo. I'm all for cooperation in mass. But most of the time, it's not even that.
