This was changed several days ago and I felt it was important for the community to know about this change:

Bans in game no longer affect your ability to log in or post on the forums so if you are banned in a world you are welcome to access the forums to argue your ban and talk with the admin responsible for it directly. It is a large pain to have emails set up to contact admins and things can get unorganized and lost, overlooked, etc so this change we feel makes it easier for players to communicate with the staff in a situation where they are banned. Now this doesn't mean you can go spamming dozens of topics of: "OMG I GOTS BANZORZED BY ZA ADMINZ" but you are free to discuss it via PM's with the admin of your world and if you wish you can make a thread in the Account Problems forum here: viewforum.php?f=205 about it. If you are unsure of the admin of your world you can always message me to get it resolved, there's a link to my profile in the description of the Account Problems forum.

This is a great changes to the ban system. They are able to appeal ban if the offence seems light but rarely. Anyway good luck to them and a great topic moderator. +1

yes... u may appeal the ban, but how often will a ban be recalled?

It's not extremely common but some bans are shortened or occasionally revoked depending on the situation. The thing is bans are only issued in cases where the admin can find enough evidence of a rule being broken or in cases of extremely vulgar language so unless there's some sort of misunderstanding or a player makes a good case we usually don't tweak bans.

I know the situation.
I was an admin on a game that had a lot of players who shared IP's, and the rules stated that shared IPs were not permitted unless directly expressed and accepted by the administration before registration...and i would get some of the craziest sap stories XD Its hard to decide which stories to believe and which to not. Its easier, and much more fair, to just deny all appeals, unless it is actually something that has solid proof.

But anyways, i digress. I think a public forum where more than 1 person can access these reports is much needed for quicker and more effective help of the players.

this would be very helpful i think especially because i was mistaken for a multi and banned :cry:

i got it removed by using the contact thing up at the top of the screen although if i had this i wouldnt have been as panicked as i was about not being able to play again

that is alot better than what battledawn used to use. thank you admin i have been wrongfully banned before, and it sucked!!

elow admin andrew..i would just like to ask on the multi mark system...no same ip should be in use unless it was approve by the admin right? since battledawn now is in facebook.. how will the multi system work..example. if i log in a public internet cafe, and some people are playing bd in facebook in the same world as i am, will i be multi mark and get ban? or what? this has been running around in my mind for a long time

can you pls help me clear this out

if you use bd on school/internet cafe or somewhere else u suspect anyone may use to use bd trough the same ip adress i would advice you to tell the admin about the situation so that they know
