Only listen to him if you want to be attacked sooner! There are advantages and disadvantages to leaving protection early, but I advise against it unless you have a good alliance lined up & ready for you to join.

If it is your first time, and you are feeling things out, then stay under protection and build resource production outposts.

yes...protection is very important....

its better to be safe..then sorry..

remember...protection is used both, in and out the game.

nah always best to get out of protection for the resource bonus since being conquered doesnt hurt you take the time to build up with a higher income make an army rebell then you are set to do whatever the rest of the era

thing is, newbies will quit after seeing "I just started the game and there is someone attack me already"...

new players should use the protection time to mess around a little bit, learn about buildings and such before aiming for the resource bonus

i remember my 1st era on bd,
noone teached me how 2 play, i was like, y the dude's colony colour has changed(the guy who coqnuered me) and mine hasnt :'(

my 1st era i was really dumb i thought if i attackd a dragon 10% of my troops would die just attacking the silo if it was armed the best part i felt like if i was able to get a conquer (never did) i would get all of his resources and eventually dominate

Lol my first era i know was like someone conquered me so i felt broken hearted but i had some army on my op. so i attacked him and conquered him.That was my first conqueror.
