How does disbanding work, if you made the wrong units, then you disband them?

When you make wrong units u can disband them,
When they are training, it wont give the total resource back, if you have a overhead. They will return the metal & oil which that unit costs at 0% overhead and obviously the workers it cost.

If you disband ready units, it will return only works that it cost.

Sometime when people gets trapped on a op or a colony by a lockdown many preffers to disband unit as it gives the owner the workers used in that army and also prevents the enemy from getting xp.

Well people generally disbands their trapped units when they r massively overpowered by enemy (for eg. 100 vs 20 squads).

Or
When their HP is damaged, as If HP is damaged, enemy can kill much more units with less range hence giving them tons of xp. :)

If your units are training and you disband your units then you get the resources and workers back (minus extra overhead cost, so you get basic unit cost)

Very useful way early in the era to get an xtal while still having a high worker count ;)
