Depends on how long you store it. You can store it for 3 ticks at a time, but it costs 50 energy to do so. The maximum amount a shield can last for is 12 ticks.

anywere between 3-12 u can set for 3, 6, 9, 12

and it cost 50 energy for every 3 ticks of shilding
