The second era of Earth 2 has come to a close. The era was marked by two major backstabs. Firstly, and probably more visible, was the masterful backstab of XXIV (RIP LanceAlot) by Arch, who were then quickly and easily swept up by CAE.

Until that point XXIV had completely dominated Earth 2 (lol Earth 2 was a sci-fi show in the 90s I think?), but Archs brilliant backstab of XXIV completely changed the map of Earth 2. After the Archs victory over XXIV, a rising peripheral power came and easily conquered the sneaky Arch. Opportunity came, and CAE took full advantage of it, now becoming the unquestioned masters of Earth 2.

After this episode had taken place, many Earth 2 citizens assumed that CAE would just roll over the 2 relics that remained out of their hands and the era would be over. Instead (at least from what I am told) CAE told SWAT and UD (the two other relic holding alliances) that CAE would not attack them and steal their relics. So then the round continued on. About 3 weeks later, UD apparently had decided they might as well take SWATs relic. UD and SWAT were miles apart and had no kind of affiliation with each other. SWAT was such a legitimate target UD must have wondered why it took them so long to realize that truth.

UD strikes them in Greenland and most SWAT members then relocate to relative safety in Russia. Unfortunately for UD, in light of this attack the SWAT owner of the relic decides it would be best for him if he just join CAE since otherwise he would likely lose the relic to UD. So he does just that... and UDs campaign comes to a disappointing and uneventful end.

While all of UDs forces were still in Greenland wondering what to do next, CAE had been positioning themselves to strike UD. Once all of UDs forces were gone, CAE found themselves another great opportunity. Sure they probably could have easily defeated them even without backstabbing them, but this is the era of backstabbing and CAE wanted to keep in fashion.

What lesson is to be taken from era 2? The lesson is simple, honor, trust, and dignity are dead. Deception, backstabbing, greed and all around duplicity are the forces that drove the story of Earth 2 Era 2!

So remember kiddies, watch your backs in era 3 because I doubt this trend will be coming to an end (hardcore backstabbing)!

Next era we 9Ders will come back to haunt the lot of you!

There would have been a chance that CAE still looses the round if those other two relic holding allies would have decided to go straight for CAE at the moment as most of the ARCH crystals were captured by Oluvai. At this point CAE was not weak or an easy target however their power rating was at a lowest since a very long time as CAE lost more in the CAE - ARCH struggle than they might have expected.

After capturing 8 relics there are only a few options to choose from in order to win the round:

- make the other relic holders join
- capture them
- make the relic holding allies a sub.

Just waiting and do nothing if 8 relics are captured looks like a great way to stall the whole map. Therefore I would not speak of greed here. I'm not sure what was going on in details but I can imagine that the peacefull options were discussed first before the "backstab" against UD took place. So cheers to Zerion for his loyality towards his ally. Congratuations to CAE.

LOL all the backstabbing reminded me of an Earth 4 round on the classics about 2 years ago
