The reasons i found are simply this:

Mostly on eras ive been theres a dominant alliance for 3 years and then their sub take over. as the time goes people think to themselves ill be that or that but the ones who boost reds and never sleep actually win everytime.

Example:ROFL (dont have anything personal against them)
EVERY era I played with them came out to be as a loss for me. they always won or one of their subs took us out. I once won due to the fact the dominant alliance was beaten by our alliance(RARELY HAPPENS)
and we won for an era. Next era our alliance got killed by them.

My point is an era especially made to counter dominant alliances.
Maybe a newbies world or a world with certian rules to prevent the same alliance OVER and OVER.

If you have any suggestions for a better battledawn(or atleast a new world type) PLEASE suggest here!

There were eras set up in the past where admins "banned" subs. It's very difficult to identify a sub though if alliances don't share the same alliance tag. Part of the game is to create alliances and treaties in game with other alliances. Just means alliances that can regularly use subs instead cover it up by making a treaty in game with the main alliance.

Subs was the biggest problem when I last played the game. In some cases it can be fun to face them, when world were more popular recruiting other alliances to fight along side you mid-era. I don't know much about the population now, but if subs are still a problem there is very little that can be done to resolve the issue. Can learn a lot from fighting multiple alliances though and if you manage to show your worth chances are you'll be recruited by one of the main alliances.... Better than nothing :)

Honestly, I just don't believe in this. It's possible to win without subs, without boosting reds and without knowing anyone on a round.

Every once in a while the argument comes up that it's impossible to win for some X reason (subs, boosting, not knowing enough players) and every time people try to come up with solutions for it. People should however simply consider maybe the reason they're getting beaten is their enemies are simply better players than they are.

Only part they're forgetting in that description is you can also improve your odds through boosting

Either way, recruiting subs is simply part of a certain strategy. It's not my preferred strategy and many look down on it, but it IS a strategy. I think it's an incredibly weak strategy, but if people want to play like that, you need to find a way to counter that. If you can't find a way to counter it, their strategy is superior and they're simply better players.

Given that there are many that look down on subs and on sub empires, you could probably get quite some players and alliances on your side to "overthrow the big bad bullies", but that takes some serious talking. The last F1 I played the rank 1 alliance had approximately twice the power of rank 2, had a strong sub, a strong ally that was rank 3 and seemed to have the era wrapped up. What happened is because of diplomacy by the rank 6 alliance, ranks 2, 4, 5 and 6 ganged up on them, got some of the people rank 1 alliance had conquered to rebel and attack them, and eventually the rank 1 alliance lost the war after which the remaining alliances fought it out.

If it's ROFL you're fighting (just as an example) and they use subs and have won many eras in a row, they probably have a lot of people that dislike them. I'm sure you can find many on the round that have some beef with them and would like to kill them if they thought they stood a chance, and I'm sure if you talk to people on Skype etc it wouldn't be that hard to recruit some more people that have been killed by them in the past that would like to see them fall. Coordinate the teams willing to fight them, make it seem ROFL doesn't stand a chance and this is finally the time they are going to lose, and you can bet there are going to be many that would jump at the chance to be able to say they beat ROFL that will join your side. Message those they have conquered to harrass them, try and get some allies to backstab them at opportune times, and just generally make it a pain for ROFL to continue fighting.

That's what I would do. It would probably be difficult, but if you really want to beat a team that's playing well and seems unbeatable it's obviously not going to be easy to beat them anyway.

Went off on a bit of a tangent there. Either way, my point is in the end the team that's played the era best will win the era. If a team is dominant era after era there simply is something they're doing better than you are, and they deserve to win. Doesn't mean they will automatically win, but as long as you don't come up with new ways to defeat them they will.

What Senatus said is true. An era I played I recall having almost the entire world being against us. They had a common goal to shutdown a big alliance. While it looked promising for them, the thing they lacked was teamwork & individual skill. Perhaps time as well. The best players will always win, because they have experience with the game and time. If you really want to overthrow a big alliance. You need to have experience, time and contacts.

If more players had balls to do something big, I'd say the game wouldn't die, but grow. Era's would be way more exciting.

now ive remembered something. PLANNING.
you need to establish a plan for what you're going to do before an era starts. So figure out who your contacts and allies are, what your plan is, and how youre gunna do it. thats my 2 cents, pce out

My problem is(personally) that i havent played a long time and noone even remembers me. i barely have contacts. i cant figure out a way to be friends with people without them attacking me in the first tick ignoring or just messaging "wtf do you want","i dont know you" etc.

NOBODY wants to make new friends, noone is willing to fight alongside me.

thats why when i was in mars we were top 1 alliance and we got overwhelmed by dozens of random unknown alliances(top) without us provoking them or their allies.

i think subs are a really bad idea too. taking mines and wells(sometimes) and commonly inactive and the leader is inactive too so theres nothing u can do except killing them and then being called a traitor and be hated.

if theres a good alliance that wants me im open, but ever alliance is like:we dont know you, were full, sorry closed, ignoring, attack after you message them or just assholes.

i have PLENTY of expirience and free time.

when u start a "pact" with alliances to take out the big ones they betray after its done, ignore, calling me an idiot, telling to that alliance on me, saying that they dont want to risk, or just eh gtfo.

im afraid to use my blues due to the fact i have no reds and i dont know if i have a chance of joining an alliance so i never go at 170 score + at tick 1.

when i try to recruit people to my alliance they are: joining somone, just watching, you dont seem like a good player, what do you want, ignore and in some cases they even assault you for messaging them

if anyone has ideas on how to get SLAUGHTERED PLEASE REPLY :D :D :D :D :D

I just got back and saw no friend at all, what I did? I made a colony, (don't care if I get conquered or not) I made sure that I remain a threat to top alliances, told them that I wouldn't bother them if they don't bother me(since I have a 1 man alliance) sooner or later we became friends. (well, not really but I can say that it starts there atleast).

and you don't need a sub if you got a friend named Gollum in your alliance

I wasn't aware you was on last F1. Did I kill you again?

Either way, despite the incorrectness of your statement, I do like that kind of feeling. We need more animosity and insults on BD, gets wars going.

Yessum has it ever occurred to you that those who do what you cannot are NOT cheating? That perhaps we are simply better players than yourself? Like, I am curious, has reality ever perpetrated its way into your brain?
