Sorry, I really have to ask this. But...what is a rank, and how is it defined? ----- Ads, thank you, that's what I was looking for.

A rank is your position in the leaderboard and it is calculated by how much power you have, how many crystals you have and how many relics you have.
Each of these is calculated into score
1 power = 10 score
1 crystal = 20 score
1 relic = 1000 score
So overall the more score compared to other players the higher your rank is

To elaborate even further: 25 workers = 1 power = 10 score 1 conquer = 1 power = 10 score 10 infantry = 1 power = 10 score 10 vehicles = 2 power = 20 score 10 tanks = 3 power = 30 score 5 Alliance owned resource mine = 1 power for all alliance members. 20 armor inf - 1 power Range units are better and that is why they are more expensive but 30 inf no matter what upgrade you put on them will be the same in power. You should however build units in a 7:3 range to armor ratio however in squads.

As said earlier , if you buy 10ranged tanks , or 10 armour tanks . The amount of power you can gain will still be 3 and the score will be 30. Although ranged tanks cost more , since there much stronger and should be used in the ratio 7:3 in a squad.
