You don't understand what a mac address is. It is a unique identifier that is unchangeable. This is not an IP address. This is specific Identifier for your device. Since you agree to give information when you sign up for forums. I'm sure Tacticsoft has both your "fake IP addresses" and your Mac address as well.
If they wanted to be nasty they could ban the mac address associated to your router. =) This would mean Bye bye forever.
