Genesis 1:1 - in the beggining..."GOD" .....
so in the very beggining, before anyone else, there was God.

So I'd like to know, if god supposedly created us, then who created god? At one point, everything was created, so he couldn't have 'always been'. Biblical Perception of God: An eternal, omnipotent, omniscient, omnibenevolent being.

But is that really possible for god to have always existed? Surely something must have created it.

The idea is that God always is and always was. He is the creator, not the created.
The whole point is that he was the beginning of everything, so there is no need for there to have been 'something before'.

God just always existed. there was no beggining to him and there will be no end to God. God is God, the everlasting.

Abrahamic gods are often held as eternal beings certain Paganic ones are born from older gods who are born from older gods that dragged themselves into being from a formless void or something create implies a creator leading your reasoning to repeat ad infinitum to eternity (who create god? the magic hamster. who created the magic hamster? the all knowing unicorn. who created the all knowing unicorn? odin. who created odin? jesus. who created jesus? superman. who created superman? an intelligent shade of blue. who created... etc etc.) currently, the universe began when the singularity it came from expanded in a process explained by the big bang theory. since time and space are entwined and a singularity has no volume and is thus not a part of space time, there was no time before the big bang, ergo there was no before the big bang, its a cop out, but thats our current understanding. you could always make up stuff and point to a god or an intelligent carrot kick starting the universe, but occam's razor would simply deem them to be superfluous and unecessary additions to the equation and a creator isnt wholly necessary. pbleebait wrote: God just always existed. there was no beggining to him and there will be no end to God. Lol, this all sounds like the aged argument the chicken and the egg; a never-ending cycle. Of course, one could simply compromise and combine both sides and suggest that God was always there, as religious people believe; seeing as matter cannot be created nor destroyed, only altered, as logical* thinkers would believe. God became the first sentient being out of the scattered mess of the Big Bang, and set about recreating it to His desires. But then again, who created that matter who created God? Ugh, my brain hurts...Like I and MrDucky said, it's a never-ending argument.
*people who think in logical terms; don't mean to offend religious folks by saying they're not logical.
