lol.

Well being a top level BD player is not easy, so the guide to becoming one isn't easy either.

To speak it simply there are several forms of economy

Structures/Workers, just max the structures and have a nice population
Conquers, go conquer people
Outposts, go take and raze outposts
Crystals/Relics, alliance based and don't help out individually much
Resource outposts, expand the territory of your alliance and take them

Great guide btw. Haven't gotten all the way through it but you did a nice job. Ever thought about mentoring?

Tried it a few times, but the newbs never kept up with it.

I'm always available to give advice or ask questions, but more hands on mentoring would be reserved for more active people who are more committed to playing.

This is my first time looking at this website.

I read your guide and was inspired, because it reminds me of a game I play called legends of elveron. It also takes a long time to learn everyting and nobody could possibly perfect their strategy since it is so complex and changing.

So I started a colony and I was really interested in the tutorial, until it said that you could pay money for tokens to upgrade your colony.

I am not interested in competing with people who spend real money on this game, even if it is a really really small bonus.

Anywayz I probably won't ever be back to this website again, but it's nothing personal, just giving my new player opinion so you have feedback about what players like and dislike in these games.

I'm glad you liked the guide.

I know plenty of good players who do very well without paying. Money helps, but it's not everything. At least give it a try. With a good team, the money doesn't win over teamwork.

This is a good guide, and for all intents and purposes would help a new player.

My constructive criticize would be:

Break it up and add some format. Put it into sections and put headers on sections to make it a little easier to navigate. It is a solid wall of text for the most part, and that in itself could put newer players off from reading it. Especially if that player is only looking for specific advice and not a full walk though.

It is likely that some part of this tut will touch on or near the areas a new player is seeking knowledge for, but the player might be put off by the size of it without being able to isolate the part which may pertain to their scenario.

Overall, great guide. Just needs to be a tad easier to navigate, such as breaking it down into sections with headers to describe the content of each section.

Agreed. I didn't reformat this because it was posted too long ago to be considered for the contest.

Thank you. I enjoyed reading it. Wasn't too difficult to read. Since the point was to help n00bs understand the game, it did it's job. Also one aspect of this game ( I assume) is about patience and learning, so if one can't read this I wonder how long they'll last with the game. :)

Thanks again.
