This thread is going to be about what you assume regarding the Bible. Basically there are 3 options you can choose: You either assume that the Bible is true, you assume that it is false, or you are neutral and assume neither. Of course, I encourage you to elaborate on your position if you are compelled to do so.
I assume that the Bible is true.
What about you guys?

So would you say you assume the Bible is true, you assume that the Bible is false, or you start at a neutral point? (Sorry haha I meant to make this kind of like a poll but apparently I don't have permission to make a poll or something..)

Im neutral but leaing more towards the false side of the argument
There is no proof that the bible it true and science is able to prove most of what the bible says has a logical explination

Alright cool. Let's see what others have to say. In the meantime, though, thanks to whoever made it into a poll. And is there a way I could get the option to create polls?

The Bible is mostly, if not completely fiction.

Alright. And hey.. I can't tell if you guys are just being honest or if you're misunderstanding the question. So I just wanted to reiterate this to make it clear: The question is not "Do you think the Bible is true or false?" The question is "Do you assume that the Bible is true, that it is false, or do you start from a neutral vantage point and make your decision based off of evidence?" So it's fine to vote "false", but if you do, you're abandoning the idea that you examine evidence from a neutral standpoint, which in my experience, atheists/non Christians tend to like.
Sorry that was a little wordy. Just wanted to make sure we're all clear.

I stand neutral, but I think the Bible is not as historically accurate as some people would believe. I think that the Bible provides morals, guidelines to living life virtously, and stuff that makes one's faith stronger in the form of fictitious miraculous events. Some see between the lines and understand the truths, but most tend to just read it and say "well it happened for real". People are stubbornly accepting what the text tells instead of what it means.
That's a part of my stance on it.
