I check in every half an hour or hour (every tick or two), yes I've been in a top alliance in old E6, in BFL, which later broke apart thanks to the leader backstabbing us >_>. We were ranked between 1-3 up around tick 1000 when a relic was released, but we couldn't get because of arguements. The major war I've taken part in was in old E7 (note I've stopped playing for a while because of the new client.), this war was between my alliance (BDF) and Bear (Bear cavalry), we were teamed up with BDA, our brother alliance, We were winning, but then we were all conquered by ExSo. And no, I've never backstabbed any member in any alliance I've been to.
Just so you know, I can get a pretty good start in an era (tick 1-30), as most of the time they restart I can easily get on and start, so yeah almost always.
