If i have two sqauds; 1 squad consists of all armor and the other is all dmg. if i attack with both does the armor squad gets all the damage and the dmg squad remain untouch or it doesn't work that way.

Yes, the armor squad takes damage before the damage squad does.

I tried that and they just killed like 2 or 3 of my armoured and headed straight for my ranged units. I think you have to have your armoured and range or damage in the same squad for the armoured to take the beating.

Maybe you had the armor squad veh and the range inf but the enemy had concussive?
