So... Quick Newbie question, On Earth 1 People keep mentioning "Vultures"

They broadcast stuff like "I hope a vulture doesn't steal this" and
"Vultures, the worst type of player"

What the hell is a vulture?

A "vulture" is someone who takes spoils of war from other alliances who fought for them.

Say you have 3 alliances, A, B and C

Alliance A and B have been fighting for hundreds of ticks. Alliance A finally kills their armies and are making their way to alliance B's hive. Before they can make it there, alliance C begin to attack also and take all the crystals and mines from alliance B before alliance A can get there. In this case, alliance C are vultures because they took the spoils from alliance A.

Hope that makes sense.

@Flare - Essentially yes. They prey on the weak after others fought them to make them weak :P

@Hitmo - Idk I'm not on E1 :P

@Tortured - Nope, two different things.

A sniper is a person (teammate or not) who launches a larger army at a particular target AFTER you have launched, in an attempt to kill you and steal it off of you. This is most commonly seen with wreckage spawns.

Avoid double posting if you can. Someone will combine those two for you when they see it.

And yes, a sniper is someone who MATCHES your ETA to a target (wreckage, conquer or mine) and sends more troops than you in order to kill your units, as Zealot said.
