 Post subject: Fantasy 5 Era 10 Scenario

Fantasy 5 will have the following rules in the new era:


1) Alliance max size set to 5

2) Tick speed of 3 tick/hr(20 minutes per tick)

3) The round will end at tick 3000 or if an alliance can capture and hold all 10 relics for 100 ticks.

4) The winning alliance members will receive 2500 bonus tokens each, second place alliance will receive 1250 tokens and third place 750 bonus tokens each.

5) All 10 relics will be released around tick 500.

6) The winner will be determined by score if the round goes all the way to tick 3000; If an alliance captures all 10 relics and holds them for 100 ticks however the round will end immediately and the alliance holding all 10 relics will be the winner regardless of score.

I can't help but feel a lack of representation whenever a new fast server is added. It boils down to who can catch the other off guard rather than making the best strategic decisions

We need a 2 hour/tick world

Ya i agree, 1 or 2 tick world for custom is good because its just you and 1 or 2 others working together out smarting the other players.

Also a shout out to all who helped us win last era even being rank 2:)

No no, not a 1 or 2 tick per hour world... we need a 2 hour/tick world. So each tick is 2 hours long. That would get in the less active players and those who have school or work and give them a chance to play competitively.

Exactly... it would be incredibly long-term. 3000 ticks would be about 8 months. Insane for a round to last that long, perhaps we should increase the starting resources and shorten the round to compensate. A 10k starting resources and shorten the era to 2500? It would still be long term, but that's what the working folk want I think.

Anyone who considers themselves good should agree with it, there is no reason not to. If you are good, the more decisions you have at your disposal the more "correct" decisions you can make. If ticks are two hours long, most people can be quite active and miss few ticks, which gives them a chance to make as many decisions as more active players. If everyone gets that chance, we see intelligence making a bigger factor than activity.

We may see issues with balance, though these same issues exist in fast tick servers and the focus to fix them is non-existent so I wouldn't expect any attention on slow tick servers either.

I just think it's silly that vanilla BD is 1 tick per hour, we have servers pushing SIX ticks per hour, and not ONE slow server? How many fast servers do we have? We have more fast servers than normal servers, and not a single slow server. I think that's a tad silly.

The only reason anyone would be against this is if they feel their only advantage is activity and not skill. If any balance issues do occur from the changed speed and higher average activity level for players we can fix them as soon as they are encountered.

We can see about doing a round like this(Would need to make some modifications I imagine as the ticks system is based on #/hr) if it gets enough support. Some older players may be interested in this type of a round but overall the playerbase(Trends noticed/feedback we've received) is that typically 2 ticks/hr and greater are more active and popular.
