happening predominately in europe, currently, Belgium has passed a law forbidding a full face veil in public, france is to follow suit.
if such legislation were to be implemented in your country, how would you fell about such legislation? the religious rights? the cultural rights? the rights of others?
remember to note down the country you are from. although its mainly happening in europe, its potential reach is global.
IMO its illegalisation for security purposes is perfectly legitimate and necessary in a world where crime is routinely carried out by people wearing balaclavas and recently i think a man robbed some stores wearing a burqa. terrorism threats pose a problem too.

in norway we don't got a full ban on burqua. but some jobs it's not allowed, i know one of them is if you work as a police officer, which the goverment controll.
IMO. people can wear them as they want, i don't control their religion, and they don't control mine. (i know i'm gone get that ti's not a part of the religion, but for them it is)

It's a matter of perspective, really. From the outside it looks like an act of repression - but to the people actually wearing it, it is (sometimes) viewed positively. Also, you're not going to get stoned in Belgium or France (Firstly, because not everyone is an extremist) and secondly as Muslims should obey the law of the land - which in Belgium or France "Not stoning someone" is probably on the list of things not to do.
