Hello, I have a squad attacking me in 4 ticks, and I have units in training base will be ready in 4 ticks, will they engage in battle when the enemy reaches me or should I hurry the units before the last tick?

The units will be involved in the battle as long as they are 1 eta from completion when the enemy forces are 1 eta from your base. AKA.. If the eta matches, you are in the clear.

If the units finish the same tick the attack lands they will defend you. The units building is calculated earlier in the tick process than the battle. In short yes they will defend you.
