Post subject: Some help in analyze the battle please

I just had a battle which I lost very poorly and I hope people can help me out.
Attackers : Army worth : 3900 metal, 900 oil and 30 soldiers. Experience : initial > 27, gained from battle > 40. Loses : 2700 metal, 500 oil and 22 soldiers. Performance : 26%
Defenders : Army worth : 6050 metal, 2250 oil and 38 soldiers. Experience : initial > 0, gained from battle > 0. Defenders lost ALL unit
My armies are 2 soldier with concussive weapon and armor upgrade, 3 mech with explosive and armor, 3 mech with explosive and dmg and 6 mech with explosive and range upgrade.
My army was much higher cost and my range units are in great advantage, I dont really understand why he lost so little to my ranged in first round, can someone explain my weaknesses?

the battle lasted 8 rounds.any battle more than 4 rounds and damage has the advantage.he had more damage.so he won.and your troops werent effective against his

hmmmmmm.....
I tested it on Battle sim and it would go something like this.
with his Anti inf, he easily took out your martian marksmen.
you have anti mech so you have advantage, but, he had lots'a armor and it took damage. He also had Damage units causing lots of damage to your mechs(though they were anti Inf). He had the right amount of damage and armor put together to destroy your units. he was lef with 2 buggies right?

range has low damage and HP.The stats goes like this
armor health:high damage:low range:low
damage health:med damage:high range:med
range health:low damage:med range:high
To ensure the battle is 1 or 2 rounds,you should try to outnumber your opponent and have enough range troops to deal damage and armor troops to protect your range.
