Hey Langy, could I trouble you to also post a shot of the message you sent him requesting the NAP extension? I hate to be a bother, but Prince acts so damn innocent of things, and this is coming way out of left field, damned if he ever mentioned such a thing to us. If you could post that for me real quick, then I can finally feel justified in saying f**k this s**t.

Why do I feel compelled to say something. Even as a complete n00b, I know that when you pull out in the middle of a battle without communicating this to the other party, it is reasonable for the other person to assume you are retreating. Also if you move back but still 'remain in the battle field', you would have lost the opportunity to attack the target you were going after.
I know for a fact that some in TLA stayed up a lot of hours for the war with goo. So surely, to have other members of the attacking party withdraw without prior notice will definitely annoy them.

Always assumed that Prince was letting the others know whenever we had to stop movement.

No, I'm sure that wasn't communicated to us. Hence the BC from Victor. If I remember correctly, there was something said about withdrawing because of dragons etc.

Just another thing to find out after the fact. Well, we're dealing with the situation so that the disconnect between leader actions and alliance knowledge is lessened or removed entirely. The other members have elected me as their new leader, to serve in the interim without Prince Ash.
