HFairytail wrote: http://www.java.com/en/download/faq/java_javascript.xml You say they're the same thing, then post a link explaining how there not the same thing... They are Basically the same thing. I did not say they were the same. I knew the link would explain it better, that's why I sent it. I also said Javascript has more tools to it. They have a similar format to it. I've used them both, which is how I knew they have similar features. I should have worded it better, and said that 'they have some similar features, but were not the same.' to avoid confusion over what I was trying to say. It was a quick comment on my part, and I wasn't considering how it would be perceived. Thanks for responding.

java and javascript are not the same
1. they are not made by the same ppl 2. they are used in different platform 3. javascript is used for interacting with HTML elements and CSS, java is a total programming language with its own platform
but in all seriousness, if u're making a text-based web-client, go with HTML and AJAX. If u want it to be downloaded, make it with C#.

Whoa, hold up guys, I've heard of normal posts deterioration in to spam, but a post in the spam section that is being taken seriously? That's not right, now is it.

I will say by personally experience that they have some similarities, that can be used to you own advantage. <This is my opinion. It Is Not Fact.I already sent a link to explain my side of things.

It's a brutal game if you get to caught up in it.

I have 1 personal pc, 1 business and I mess with 4-6 different programs on it. So I settle with sending links. I will say that I hardly mess with anything (that I know of) with AJAX, so I'm at a loss there. Then again "terms" were never my strong suit. I just do it.
