OK, a couple of noob suggestions.
implementation of updates during an era: seems most folks agree this is a bad thing, but there are current technical reasons why it has to be this way. suggestion for the admins is look at a server that is partitionable, like the current Unix stuff from IBM, HP, or Oracle. You can have multiple "servers" on one physical server, so perhaps you could re-architect a bit and have a virtual server for each era, thus eliminating your update problem.
boosting and tokens and fees and such: it's probably a provable fact that there is no way to make this perfect, but how about the following. Keep the current in-game token system. Add an option that is a subscription service, meaning for a fixed $/month, you get a fixed number of tokens. This gives you a more predictable revenue stream, and kinda sets a standard for token use, so perhaps makes the game a little more accessible for those who don't have unlimited plastic. I wouldn't hand over a carte-blanche credit card to a youngster to use whenever the impulse struck, but I might sign them up for $xx/month, knowing the commitment level in advance.
Just a couple thoughts. I've played exactly one era so maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about, so my flame-retardant suit is on, flame away if you see the need.
Won't bother me, ignorance can be fixed, so I'll learn.
Love the game, and the highly interesting people playing it.

Love the game, and the highly interesting people playing it. There is no noob suggestions, adurien, there is only good or bad suggestions. Nobody will call u a noob when u go and suggest something for a better Battle Dawn. Agree that there are technical issues, Michael himself has admited that. But wat I want to say is if u have to change it mid-era, don't make it change so bad. I was very frustrated when I log in to BD and see my 100+ infiltration ticks that I was about to use disappear. I just want them to be careful in updates so that less people will come here and complain. And the boost subscription, I think the problem is the PayPal and other services don't have the subscribe function available to use.

I actually like your suggestions Adurien. The first one something like a SaaS which is actually very effective. But not sure if that is how BD is hosted even now. Regarding the subscription service, yes I like that too. Heck even I might subscribe, cuz I spend on an impulse lol. And then find out Ive spent hundreds of dollars at the end of the month Plus this might keep people from quitting, atleast because they have subscribed. Quote: And the boost subscription, I think the problem is the PayPal and other services don't have the subscribe function available to use. Its got nothing to do with paypal. You pay an amount up front, and then get tokens at the beginning of every month.

It's not his suggestion, his suggestion is that u subscribe to BD, and each month they will automatically take money from u and give u red tokens. Ur idea is like u pay a huge amount of money first, then each month they will give u reds.
BD has nothing to do with the paying system and such. Wat they do is only redirect us to a number of services, then when they receive order confirmation they give u tokens. So if u want any subcription, look for that or suggest that to PayPal or ur using service.

Yeah, so all you need is a billing system. And a credit card number. Plus it doesnt have to be a huge amount of money. That depends on tokens.

Can you please make a separate suggestion for it? (If someone already did, sorry, I've been away from the forum for a while )
