There is a tactic on E1 to place a spam colony in a strategic spot to harass the enemy. This is not a welcome trend, but I would like to know is this within the rules? If not then there should be clear action taken to discourage this tactic in the future.
For example in the current E1 the WaW alliance was under pressure in Africa and planning a relocation, then a colony pops up N:13451 E:38797 with 100 units and immediately attacks all the WaW OP at their relocation spot with spams. This was done before one of the frequent global boosts.
Now its obvious this spam colony was funded by someone and used tokens, which if either acquired by an in-game transfer or via payment will create a record. It would be interesting to see where that record will lead .....

Unfortunately simply banning and shaming won't stop this sort of thing. We need to change game mechanics

Things like this have happened before and it can get you banned, but there is no real way to prevent this, only thing is the persons involved in creating the mess would be banned.
The provider will probably get a temporary ban, while the spammer colony will get a permanent, not sure though.

So Allen sent a nasty message to the spammers and got banned, while the spammers did not get banned. What a world, thanks Andrew!

We can reactively ban and compensate but that's not a really appropriate solution as the damage is already done. Proactive solutions are what we're looking for.
I've banned the colony in question and the "sponsoring" colony that traded them the tokens. This kind of extreme situation is bannable even if there is no multi situation as it is circumventing the normal game mechanics/system by creating a colony for the sole purpose to strike at an opponent's weakspot.

Takes 2 seconds for language bans as there's no investigation needed, takes longer to investigate and track a multi/sharing situation to ensure all involved parties are taken care of.
This was taken care of hours ago now already I was just posting on the forums here for those reading it.
No need to always be pissy Kane, sometimes you can actually smile and relax...

Would have been easier had it been taken care of before the spams landed. You think I am pissy? lol. Imagine if I was trying to win a server and I ran into an issue like this, obviously I must be spoiling you!
